Dr. Parker
Dr. Parker was born in Colorado where she attended Colorado
State University. She received her DDS at the University of
California, San Francisco ranking in the top 10 in her class.
She then practiced general dentistry in San Diego before returning
to UCSF for a 3-year residency in orthodontics and a Masters
in oral biology.
Dr. Parker has served on the volunteer faculty at the UCSF
School of Dentistry and UCSD School of Medicine. She was a
Founding member of the “Flying Doctors” San Francisco
chapter, providing dental care in rural Mexico and has performed
wild animal dentistry at the San Francisco Zoo and Marine
World. Locally, she volunteers her time to the UCSD dental
outreach program to provide care to the homeless and low income
families of San Diego and serves on the San Diego County Dental
Society Board of Directors.
Aside from orthodontics, Dr. Parker enjoys rock and mountain
climbing, snow and water skiing, scuba diving, white-water
rafting and art history.
Dr. Rubin
Dr. Rubin was born in San Francisco. He received his DDS
degree at the University of Pennsylvania and his orthodontic
training and MS from the University of Illinois. He served
as a captain in the US Air Force Dental Corps.
Dr. Rubin has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics
for over 25 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board
of Orthodontics, a fellow of the American College Of Dentists,
and is one of the most sought after speakers today.
Dr. Rubin has lectured at UCLA and USC dental schools, US
Navy hospitals and internationally. He has served on the Boards
of the SD County Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists,
California Association of Orthodontics, Boys and Girls Clubs
of San Diego, San Diego Honorary Deputy Sheriffs Association
and the San Diego Crime Commission.
Dr. Rubin is married and has three sons and two grandsons.
He resides in Pacific Beach and enjoys marathon running, snow
skiing and studying art history. |
